Place to Grow activities are divided into 11 categories.  

Activities are designed to allow Volunteers from all walks of life to join us. Activities require 2-3 hours per month to successfully achieve.

ON-LOCATION ACTIVITIES

Choose activities related to volunteering in post-disaster communities.  On the ground coordination, communications, teaching, and leadership.

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

Welcome new volunteers, manage interns, reward successes, and show appreciation to our volunteers.

VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT

Get involved in activities that support our volunteers to grow and engage.  Organize volunteer socials, provide specialized training, team building, and lead role development.

 

PARTNERS & WORKSHOPS

Encourage and support partner growth, monthly workshops and program development for Place to Grow.

DESIGN & NPO STRUCTURE

Lead monthly meetings, design templates, manage show and tell, create internal communications videos, and oversee IT and data collection.

RESEARCH & EDITING

Undertake research, edit and proof messages and Place to Grow contents, and translate communications.

 

END-OF-YEAR EVENTS

Coordinate celebrity, guest, and volunteer schedules, reach out to media, international schools and corporate partners, and oversee and manage transportation and logistics for our  end of year community events.

SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS

Develop our communications strategy, collect media from partners, share and post messages, statistics, stories, videos.

LEGAL / BUDGET / INFRA

Manage the Place to Grow budget, support legal affairs, and membership, apply for grants, and create end-of-year reports.

 

CORE COMMUNICATIONS

Manage and develop the Place to Grow mailing list, digital publishing, year-end report and newsflashes.

LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES

Manage and lead volunteer teams above for all sections, including media, local, research, partners, workshops, volunteer support, development, and internal communications.
