Help Wanted

A small group of international volunteers - up to 6 people - are needed at each Place to Grow workshop to provide an opportunity to interact in English, and assist with the activity.

Using unconventional materials, such as things found in nature or in our recycling bins, we get creative and make art.

What to Bring

All materials will be provided by volunteers, but bring anything you want from home like rocks, leaves, buttons, fabric scraps etc and transform them into a piece of art!

Legend of Kamiwarizaki and Picnic Lunch
Outdoor Activities in English
Hosted by Earth Camp

What to Bring: Picnic Lunch

We start with an English lesson: Sosha from Earth Camp will teach children some simple English words that are related to the legend of Kamiwarizaki, the "rock cracked by god".  Then kids will be matched up with a volunteer and head off to Kamiwarizaki. Volunteers are asked to encourage kids to tell the story of the rock using the English words they just learned. We will have a picnic lunch at Kamiwarizaki.

Kayak, BBQ & Wool Weaving Workshop

What to bring: Swimsuit (or other clothing you don’t mind getting wet), non-slippery footwear (no flip-flops), hat, change of clothes, towel

Price: ¥3,100/person  (includes kayaking rentals, wool workshop & facility fee)
