Ahead with no Overhead

All Volunteer Team

We're now officially 100% volunteer based, with zero management overhead.  100% of donations to Place to Grow go towards holding our beneficiary workshops, bringing inspired volunteers together with post-disaster survivor communities.  Inspiring connections.

Volunteering; More Than Just Friends

Facebook Workplace

We're moving our communications platform to the very new Facebook Workplace - in order to support a larger number of volunteer activities and volunteers, while keeping us all connected!  This means you won't need to come to every meeting to feel connected to the team.

Perfecting the Art of Our Workshops

8 Workshops + Xmas

2016 saw 10 workshops in Kumamoto and Minami Sanriku.  This year we've added Kesennuma to the list, while maintaining our presence in MSR, and continuing our epic end-of-year Santa Soul Train community party.  For more info check our activity schedule for the full year.

Pride in our Partners

Partners for the Year

We're grateful to be developing deeper partnerships this year with Johnson & Johnson, Nishimachi International School, Ohana International School, Alpha Sports Lab, Nagoya International School, Hogan Lovells, Oakwood Premiere Tokyo Midtown and our much loved celeb entertainers like Stuart-O, Hanami Yu, and Charlie Okamura.

Be Simply Active

ACTIVITIES

We've broken down the entire Place to Grow organization into manageable, focused, fun activities that anyone can take on in a few hours a month.  Have a peek at our new structure.  It is supported by small teams, team leaders, and Facebook work.  Join us in launching our new teams.  We need you!
